As you know American boxer recently visited the Crimea and there he asked Russia’s President Vladimir Putin of the Russian citizenship. Kiev junta in the traditional fit of jealousy immediately took the opportunity to impose on the athlete sanctions.
Roy Jones commented on the decision of the government of the country 404 to include him in the “black list”:
“I know that the Klitschko brothers were eager to fight me, and perhaps they are thus challenging me. Hey, so if Vitaliy or Vlad would like to address this question in a friendly bout of 12 rounds heavyweight title somewhere outside of Ukraine, including Crimea, they know where to find me”, quoted sportsman’s edition of “The Boxing Scene”.
“Otherwise this crap with including me into Ukrainian black list is a blatant attempt to politicize a legitimate business undertaking, which we are launching with peace in our hearts, to help restore and to build bridges between East and West,” said the athlete.
