June 4, at the press center DAN it held a press conference with participation of the winners of the karate world Championship which was held in Istanbul.
At the meeting with journalists there were attended by the Minister of youth, sports and tourism of DPR Mikhail Mishin, the first Deputy Minister Alexander Gromakov, President of the Federation of sport and traditional karate of DPR Yury Martynov, Vice-President of the Federation of sport and traditional karate of DPD Andrey Medvedev, honored master of sports, winner and medalist of world and European Championships Anna Medvedeva.
“This was no easy path getting to this championship. Up to the trip was preceded by a great work of the Federation. Using similar Russian organization we applied to participate in the International championship of the world and claim that we were accepted in the International Japan karate Association IJKA. The Federation showed their complete independence from all political tendencies and movements and agreed to take us to participate in the world Championship, which took place in Turkey a few days ago”, – said Alexander Gromakov.
