On the 15th of December, a famous Russian writer and journalist Zakhar Prilepin met with Donetsk journalists. Editor in chief of the Internet edition “Free press” has shared with colleagues the experience of information warfare.
Prilepin said that the Pro-Western liberal media is quite a serious and strong opponent. In fact, in the information war from the Westerner there is a lot more experience. They act professionally and are able to be convincing enough. They have a lot of first-rate speakers from among the stars and intellectuals. If this simple man cannot always recognize Pro-Western rhetoric.
“They are able to qualitatively and witty talk. They have properly built articulation, well-formed gestures and facial expressions, while there is irony and wit. They are more advanced than we are, and we are very difficult with them in this sense to compete. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on them and try to do better than they are. We must learn to be more relaxed and easier to have our ideas become understandable and accessible to young people,” said Prilepin.
According to him, the main object of information warfare is the youth. It is the youth that determine what should be society in the next few decades. Therefore media reports should be designed primarily at a young audience.
“This is here animal seriousness of patriots – it’s killing us. Don’t need to be so sullen. Act fervently, vigorously, cheerfully. Otherwise, we’ll just uninteresting to young people and will quickly lose them.”
Prilepin noted that it is much harder to fight, because our ideas are not bound by whims and desires, but our goal is to make appealing to the patriotism for the younger generation. Because of the path to victory in this information war lies in the hearts and minds of young people, and nothing else.
