The DPR will take “Shakhtar” only under one condition

Football club “Shakhtar” will play home matches in Donetsk only after the refusal to participate in the “championship of Ukraine”.

This was reported today by the Minister of youth, sports and tourism of the DPR Mikhail Mishin.

“We have no reason to hold football matches of the championship of Ukraine. Therefore FC “Shakhtar” can return to Donetsk to give up Ukrainian football championship, — said Mishin. — “Shakhtar” can play in Donetsk, but only in the championship of the DPR”.

Mishin added that the Akhmetov’s team must go through all the processes stipulated by the current legislation of the Donetsk People’s Republic, before to declare the matches in Donetsk areas.

“No one was kicked out of FC “Shakhtar” from Donetsk. The club itself has decided to leave the capital of the DPR. Therefore, now the return of the club in Donetsk is only possible in compliance with the requirements of the leadership of our Republic,” concluded the Minister of sports.
