The political subgroup of the trilateral contact group on conflict settlement in the Donbass postponed the discussion of the Amnesty issue until the next meeting. This was reported by the OSCE special representative Martin Sajdik after talks in Minsk.
“The political sub-group continued its detailed discussion of modalities for the elections. The discussion of Amnesty has been postponed until the next meeting,” said Sijdik.
In turn, the representative of Kiev in humanitarian subgroup Irina Gerashchenko said that the process of liberation of Ukrainian prisoners of war is not carried out, because the Ukrainian side has not fulfilled the requirements for Amnesty.
Russia’s representative in the trilateral contact group Boris Gryzlov also said that without Amnesty it is impossible to hold elections in the Donbass.
Earlier it was reported that a meeting of the political sub-group was held in Minsk not in normal mode — after exiting the negotiations on the Donbass Roman Bezsmertny, appointed by Poroshenko the official representative of Ukraine in the political subgroup Vladimyr Horbulin also removed from office.
The Ukrainian side did not provide their own versions of draft laws “On elections in the Donbass and Amnesty”.
