On the Day of a Bank employee the National Bank of Ukraine declared the bankruptcy of “Fidobank”, and the Chairman of the Board resigned from the Bank “Michaelovsky”. According to experts, Bank “Michaelovsky” is also doomed to bankruptcy.
The number of private Ukrainian banks is already over seventy. The head of the NBU Valeria Gontareva calls the recognition of a number of banks insolvent by “cleaning up the banking sector”. However, in recent times “cleaning” turned into “cleansing”.
The closing of the main Bank of the capital — “Khreshchatyk” was more than controversial. Now and “Fidobank” was declared bankrupt and, possibly, in the near future the Bank “Michaelovsky” will be declared insolvent. Although before the decision of the NBU on the entry of the interim administration in each Bank, companies did not complain about liquidity problems.
