Lace panties will not be! The influx of imports to Ukraine from the EU is not expected, due to the devaluation of the UAN

The entry into force of the provisions on free trade area (FTA) with the European Union will not lead to an influx of imports from EU countries, due to the devaluation of the national currency. Therefore, the “improvements” in the near future should not wait.

This was reported today to Ukrainian journalists by the Deputy Minister of economic development and trade of the country 404 Nataliya Mykolskaya.

“The zero rates of import duties will not lead to an influx of imports from the EU. There are a number of reasons. First, the Ukrainian goods will still be cheaper for the consumers due to the devaluation of the UAN. Secondly, in recent years, Ukraine has formed a consumer patriotism, people tend to buy goods of Ukrainian production,” she said in a Ukrainian TV channel.
