Today the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko has issued his annual message to the National Council of the Republic.
The basis of the political system in the young state is a democracy based on the principles of freedom, justice, conscience and equality, said the Head of the Republic at the beginning of message.
According to him, the Republic is at war and the priority task today is to strengthen the area of defense. In 2014 Kiev aggressors suffered a series of heavy defeats under Saur-Mohyla, Ilovaysk. The year 2015 started with the fact that recaptured a strategic point – Donetsk airport, after that the process of liberation of the Republic continued with the liberation of Uglegorsk and Debaltsevo.
“The military progress has enabled a breakthrough in foreign policy, and on the diplomatic front, this “breakthrough”, of course, was the Minsk agreement. We managed to do something incredible. During the Minsk talks, we were able to impose our political will to our opponents, were able to attract as guarantors of the leading European powers and achieved the main goal at this stage – ceasefire and end the suffering of our people,” stated Zakharchenko.
He also expressed confidence that the people of Ukraine in the near future will destroy the Kiev junta and its fall will become the greatest victory.
In the second part of the message Zakharchenko said that in the fighting on the territory of the Republic 1676 social facilities, 4115 apartment buildings and private houses 14954 were destroyed:
“This is an appalling figure, comparable to the level of completely destroyed this city like Washington,” he said.
Among the major achievements of 2015 Zakharchenko gave the state a rehabilitation program, primarily in the social sphere, consisting of two stages.
“The first phase held between February — April 2015 – 293 objects were restored. The second stage held on schedule from August 2015 to May 2016, which has already implemented the construction of 111 new houses,” said Zakharchenko.
