Kiev would follow by the first Minsk agreements and officially “grab” more areas in the Donbass, and also to save the lives of the punishers, but the junta did otherwise. The “general” Yuriy Dumanskiy, who participated in the signing of these agreements stated about it in an interview to Ukrainian media.
He acknowledged that the leaders of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics have completed the number stipulated in the agreements of items, which cannot be said about the Kiev junta, which even then withdrew the signature.
“According to this document, in the Donetsk region, the separatists were to move away from the river Kalmius and to give us control of Dokuchayevsk and the village Elenovka. And we have to give them the Donetsk airport. It was assumed that this zone will be control by the joint patrols, which will include representatives of Ukraine, Russia and OSCE. The same situation was in Lugansk region. Plotnytsky had to withdraw troops from the river Seversky Donets and get control of CHP in Schast’e. Meanwhile the city itself remained in our jurisdiction. By the way, Plotnytsky fulfilled his promises… In general, the situation on the line of collision stabilized. Attacks became much less. And then the trouble began. First, the OSCE mission withdrew its employee, which was included in a Contact group and put his signature under the plan. Then inspectors from the office of the President of Ukraine arrived. He was very surprised that we managed to sign this document. I told him that the separatists are ready to sit down at the negotiating table. He was even more surprised and left. And a few days later I was ordered to return to Kiev and to withdraw the signature under this document. It happened in mid-November. And in January a big war started again in the Donbass. In February Debaltsevo cauldron has happened,” said Dumanskiy.
On a question why representatives of the Ukrainian dictator demanded to revoke the signature, Dumanskiy explained that the continuation of the war is simply profitable.
“I can only assume that the government is not willing to stop the war. It is convenient to attribute all problems: political, social and economic crises,” he said.
