The tariff for transit of Russian gas to “Gazprom” through the territory of dying Ukraine could grow three times.
The Director for business development at Naftogaz Yury Vitrenko said about it on the 17th of February.
“In 2015 “Gazprom” paid about two billion dollars for the transit of about 67 billion cubic meters of gas through Ukraine. In 2016 for the same amount of transit “Gazprom” will have to pay 6.1 billion dollars. That is, three times, or $ 4 billion more. It is in this year,” he said.
Vitrenko said that the figure of 6.1 billion dollars is calculated according to the current contract under which the cost of transportation calculated on the basis of 110 billion cubic meters of reserved capacity. Meanwhile Vitrenko stressed that in case of increase of the transit volumes
“If “Gazprom” wants to reduce the specific transit cost per thousand cubic meters, it has just more to transport gas through Ukraine,” he added.
