Association of teachers of Germany is planning to teach partly political Manifesto of Adolf Hitler “Mein Kampf” for students of 16 years and older, reports the website of the German newspaper “Handelsblatt”.
According to the head of the Association of Josef Kraus, teachers cannot ignore this provocative text because of the forbidden attracts young people.
However, the purpose of the study this document is to help “to instill in youth from political extremism”.
MP Ernst Dieter Rossmann from the Social democratic party of Germany supported this idea.
“To disrupt by historic methods mask this anti-Semitic polemical pamphlet, and to explain the mechanisms of propaganda with the help of suitable qualified teachers is the task of modern education,” he said.
The MP added that the critical analysis of “Mein Kampf” will increase the resistance to right-wing populism in Germany.
However, in the Jewish community of Germany expressed concern about plans of teachers of Association.
Earlier Western media reported that the Munich Institute for contemporary history is going to print “Mein Kampf” in 4 thousand copies — for the first time in Germany since the end of World War II. The publication will be equipped with 3.5 thousand notes.
The first edition of “Mein Kampf” was published in 1925, eight years before Hitler came to power.
After the victory over Nazi Germany the rights to publish the books had been transferred to Bavaria.
