Does not risen during the national anthem

In the Nikolaev region the deputy of regional council, who dared not to stand during the anthem of Ukraine, is criminally persecuted.

About it reported in a press-service of Prosecutor’s office of the Nikolaev area.

At the request of the Chairman of the Nikolaev regional Council, the regional Prosecutor’s office started criminal proceedings on the fact of the so-called public abuse of the national anthem of “Ukraine” by the Deputy of the Nikolaev regional Council (paragraph 1 of article 338 of the criminal code of Ukraine).

“It was found that during the first session of the Nikolaev regional Council of the 7th convocation the Deputy from the political party “New power” did not stand up during the anthem of Ukraine,” is told in the message.

The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is entrusted to the Central police Department of State Directorate of the National police in the area.
