Boxers from the DNR won gold and silver at the tournament in St. Petersburg

Boxers from the People’s Republic of Donetsk won gold and silver medals at the recent St. Petersburg International tournament in memory of Honored Master of Sports I.M.Lebedeva. Numbers of participants of the competition were 220 boxers representing 44 teams from different regions of Russia, as well as the national teams of the DPR and Belarus.

Among our athletes the tournament winner was Ilya Galagan, and the silver prize-winner – Andrew Ponedel’nikov.

A trip to our boxers on the banks of the Neva was organized by the Federation of Boxing of the DPR and the Ministry of youth, sport and tourism with the support of the public movement “Patriotic forces of Donbass” with the assistance of the Vice-President of Fund “Revival” (St. Petersburg) V. A. Stasev.
