Alexei Bonyuck, the lawyer of a Ukrainian nationalist Yuriy Pavlenko, in respect of which on April 1, Vinnitsa city court has pronounced a sentence of imprisonment of 4 years 6 months said that he will submit the appeal.
Bonyuck said about it in the program “Evening Prime” on the TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
Pavlenko was found guilty of organizing and participation in mass riots under the walls of the Vinnitsa regional state administration on the 6th of December, 2014.
Then he swore obscenely addressed to the leader of the junta Peter Waltzman, and tore his portrait.
“It’s completely surreal process. The only fact was proved. It’s obscene abuse in the address of the President. How it would not sound surprising, Yuri is a good person. And so his move was forced. It was due to certain emotions and actions of those who tried to curry favor. He swore and tore the portrait,” said Bonyuck.
