In Day of memory of the Unknown Soldier in Amvrosievka buried the fallen and opened the memorial

On December, 3 in the city Amvrosievka in the East of the Donetsk People’s Republic held a reburial of the remains of 38 Soviet soldiers found by search engines, and also inaugurated a memorial to the fallen defenders of the Fatherland – both known and unknown.

The event was held in honor of the memory of the Unknown Soldier – a memorable date was established in the Russian Federation. Organizers are the Russian military-historical society, Ministry of foreign Affairs of the DPR and the Republican search Association “Donbass”.

As it was reported by leading of ceremonial meeting, simultaneously with the opening of the monument in Amvrosievka two similar monument were opened on the territory of Russia: on the territory of the memorial “Sinyavino heights” in the Leningrad region and in the village Verigino of Tver region. All of these places for monuments were not chosen by chance – they are installed on the mass graves where found their home and the unknown soldiers, and those soldiers, whose names could be identified.

Thus, the speaker noted, that the monuments are opened simultaneously in Russia and in the land of the Donbas — further demonstrates the unity between the peoples of the Russian Federation and the DPR.

To the sounds of the anthem of the DPR meeting was declared open. To the audience, which were more than a thousand people the head Amvrosievska district administration Nikolai Tarasenko turned. He thanked everyone who came to the event.

“You know that war that started in 1941 and ended in 1945, it was the most terrible war. The only state that opposed the Nazi invaders, the Soviet Union was. From 1939 to 1941 the Germans had enslaved almost all of Europe, half of Africa and Asia. The only one who gave battle, were our defenders, our citizens. We still find the remains of our fallen warriors”.

Tarasenko praised the achievements of search group “Donbass”, which is doing everything to preserve the memory of the heroes. He also noted that in Ukraine came to power fascism.

Foreign Minister of the DPR Alexander Kofman in his speech said:

“Today is a tragic but wonderful day… unfortunately, now we have to see all of the horrors that saw our grandparents. I believe that this war will be much shorter, but will end the same way as the previous one – our Victory”.

Then on to fallen soldiers, a requiem was served. The coffins with the remains were submerged in a mass grave.

To the sounds of the “March Slav” the monument was opened – 2.5-meter sculpture of a soldier.

At the memorial meeting said the Deputy Corps commander of defense Ministry of the DPR Eduard Basurin, the head of the search group “Donbass” Alexander Maltsev, caming from Russia the representative of the Communist party of the Russian Federation in Rostov and members of the Russian military historical society, as well as guest from the People’s Republic of Lugansk.
On behalf of the Union of Writers of the DPR addressed famous bard Vladimir Skobtsov from Donetsk. He read the poem “My region, my paradise.”

The memory of the fallen was honored with a minute of silence. After that there was the ceremony of rewarding those who were involved in the opening of the memorial. The most active in these matter nationals Alexander Kofman handed metal roses and mini-up palm of Mertsalov forged from fragments of shells. Several participants were awarded with diplomas.
