On the 14th of November in the building of Donetsk music and drama theatre hosted one of the brightest events of this autumn – “Autumn Ball”. A dance program was attended by 80 couples. Overall, in the hall there were about a thousand people. At the entrance guests were waited with a red carpet and a corridor of wearing the white dress uniform cadets. By the stairs guests ascended to the second floor, where they found laid tables and the sound of the orchestra. All the ladies were in ball and evening dresses. The cavaliers almost all were dressed in costumes, stylized hussar form of the 19th century.
With non-professional dancers in a couple set artists of the musical drama and “Donbass Opera”. Note that the active preparation for the ball was about a month – dance lessons were regularly conducted for the participants.
The ball started traditionally with Polonaise. The first dance was attended by cadets of the Republican Donetsk military Lyceum. Artists of Music and Drama Theater performed songs in between the main dances. Including Dmitry Fedorov, he sang songs of Peter Leshchenko. Also at the ball were sounded polka, mazurka and waltz. Guests not only danced, but, as usual at balls, were drinking wine, champagne and indulged in small talks. In general, the ball came out beautiful and bright. According to the director of the theatre Natalia Volkova, the balls will now be held in the theatre on a regular basis.
