The chargé d’affaires of Ukraine in Georgia, Georgy Nazarov on Friday in the Georgian foreign Ministry handed an official note of protest. Georgian authorities unhappy with public statements of the Governor of Odessa Mikhail Saakashvili, who, in the opinion of the Georgian side, threaten the national security of the country.
This was announced by Deputy foreign Minister of Georgia David Jalagania. His words were given by the press service of the foreign Ministry of Georgia.
“The Georgian side has fixed extreme dissatisfaction with the prevailing media statements of the Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili, which include threatening the security and stability of Georgia opinions and appeals,” says the Georgian foreign Ministry.
The Department stressed that Saakashvili’s statements inadmissible in the framework of friendly relations between Georgia and “Ukraine” and constitutes interference in the internal Affairs of the state.
