The Ministry of health of Ukraine issued the order, explaining in which hospitals in the country they will conduct clinical trials of imported drugs. As was note by the Ukrainian “Vesti”, the American and European pharmacists have been actively experimenting on the people of Ukraine, as the holding of testing them is much cheaper than in the EU.
The Ministry of health of Ukraine has approved clinical trials of imported drugs on the Ukrainians.
In particular, the order №835 states that 96 names of drugs will undergo clinical trials in Ukraine.
All there were 98 requests, but two of them were rejected — for a cure on psoriasis and for children medication on the treatment of depression.
So, the officials allowed the US to test the drug on patients with rheumatoid arthritis in hospitals in Kharkov, Zaporozhe region, Poltava and others. The tests were allowed the American cure for schizophrenia, which will be held in Cherkassy, Kiev, Kherson, Vinnitsa mental hospitals.
Drugs from the US will be tested and on Ukrainians, pneumonia’s patients, for example, in Kiev and Kharkov hospitals. American “Pfizer” also plans to test the drug on cancer patients on the basis of the Krivoy Rog, Lvov, Chernovtsy dispensaries.
In addition, on the patients who are treated for cancer, will be tested the effectiveness of the products of the French company “AB Science” (Krivoy Rog, Sumy, Kharkov and other cancer centers). A Swedish pharmaceutical company “AstraZeneca AB” will test the effectiveness of a new drug for the treatment of pulmonary diseases.
According to the doctor of one of Kiev’s hospitals, the first action of a new drug will be tested on animals, and then begin clinical trials, which are divided into four phases: “in the first and second stages healthy people take part in these to find out side effects of the medication. Of course, this is a big damage to health, but people go to it for large fees from pharmaceutical manufacturers. A couple of years ago the fee was $1 thousand. But now Ukraine is carried out only the third and fourth phases of testing. The goal is to determine how the medicine works on the underlying disease, so it is prescribed only to patients”.
“At our level of poverty, participation in clinical trials — is almost the only opportunity to be treated according to European protocols,” said in turn, President of the Ukrainian Council of protecting the rights of patients Viktor Serdyuk.
However, according to anonymous sources of “News” in health facilities, sometimes Ukrainians are not informed about the replacement of the tested drug to the one they want to test.
“There were cases when the representatives of the manufacturer came to the doctor and asked him instead of expensive imported medicine to prescribe a cheap version of Ukrainian production. Some doctors sin by this and offer such drugs to patients, who are known to be difficult to pay for expensive drugs. They are administered domestic drugs to look at the results and report to the customer,” said the doctor of one of hospitals.
