The crew of TV channel “Russia” came under fire of Kiev security forces in the area of Yasinovataya checkpoint on the route Donetsk — Gorlovka. This was announced by the Ministry of defense of the DPR.
“On the 15th of May, at 17:00 a group of journalists of TV channel “Russia” came under mortar fire from the Ukrainian security forces in the area of Yasinovataya checkpoint. Reporters were fired from LNG and small arms,” stated in the message.
The defense Ministry said that no casualties were reported.
“Only thanks to harmonious actions of military personnel of the DPR, which by their private bodies covered journalists during the started shelling, the group was barely managed to withdraw from the danger zone,” noted in the defense Ministry, adding that the journalists are secure, their lives are not in danger.
