On the eve in Syria there was a concert of the founder of the “Agatha Christie” Vadim Samoilov, who arrived to support fighting terrorism the fighters of the Russian Air and Space Forces at the airbase Hamim.
After returning home, the rock musician gave an interview to edition of “Journalistic truth”, where during the discussion of his visit to Syria, the question concerned and genocide of people in the Donbass, in particular, talking about the “colleagues” of singer — Maidan propagandists and one of the most prominent representatives of them — the front man of the band “Okean Elzy” Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, who recently received the award from the hands of Poroshenko. However, the musician criticized the actions of the Ukrainian authorities, and even asked the dictator why political “leadership” of the country 404 puts personal interests above the state’s ones and where the promised changes in the country are.
“Awards are good. But, unfortunately, some awards do not solve the tasks that stand before us…the Enemy that eats away at Ukraine from within — corruption, a total injustice and ignorance, low level of so-called elite far more treacherous and dangerous than any external enemy. To defeat it, we also need heroes — heroes in Ukrainian politics and authorities. Unfortunately, to date, any such characters we do not see. We see logical actions. We see the desire to sit on two or three chairs. We see fear: fear of losing position, fear of losing wealth, political influence, to endanger yourself or your family,” said Vakarchuk.
Here is a snippet of an interview where Vadim Samoilov has expressed its attitude to the Ukrainian lost faith in “the authorities” musician:
— Vadim, where do you think Vakarchuk was sincere – two years ago on Maidan and now at the reception of the President?
— I’ll say this: I generally have little interest in the opinion of Vakarchuk on this topic. People like Mr. Vakarchuk are dangerous ideologists of the Ukrainian nationalism, the hands of which were untied.
Vakarchuk did a lot of things and put a lot of effort in order to carry out the policy of Ukrainization in such a wild form, which occurred after the events on Maidan. I think Vakarchuk is as dangerous as the punishers who came to the Donbass.
— What lesson from the history of the Maidan should make those who want to organize a Maidan in Russia?
— I am convinced that this will not work. In my opinion for everybody it is already obvious what the results of Maidan are: the looting, the pauperization and impoverishment of its own people. I think that society itself is configured so that any attempt to organize such Maidans will not be tolerated. And it is not even by the forces men, but by the people themselves.
Even the leaders of many protest movements now try not to touch it. In this sense, anti-Russian hysteria of the Ukraine played a very important role and has become an example of what negative result can come.
Therefore, in Russia, Belarus Maidans are hardly possible nowadays. Already, there are so romantic people there. Kyiv Maidan has led to the establishment of the fascist regime. By the way, now many participants of the Maidan feel cheated. It became clear that the Maidan is not the way out of difficult situations.
To shake society and oppose one nationality to another – this theme humanity has once and forever to close. It’s especially in our Slavic world. At some reason we in our Slavic world live not very well. We need to make peace. I’m not suggesting a new Soviet Union, but at least we need to put new tasks and to tackle them together.
