Numerous events associated with the International day of persons with disabilities are held these days in DND. Despite difficult economic conditions, the Republic does not forget about citizens with disabilities.
On the 2nd of December in Donetsk in the cafe “Oasis” hosted a charity dinner for the disabled. Was also presented a small cultural program in which people with disabilities came to the microphone, recited verses of their own composition. One young man played the guitar the melody of the song of V. S. Vysotsky “If the friend has appeared suddenly…” Unfortunately, the concert part turned out less ambitious than originally planned. Wheelchair users who wanted to show the wheelchair dance, due to extremely adverse weather conditions are unable to locate the event.
The festival was organized by the Donetsk city society of disabled people “Donetsk dawns” and public movement “Young Republic”.
The head of the company “Donetsk dawns” Lyudmila Kravchuk, commenting on the event, said:
“We appealed to the head of administration of Donetsk Yuri I. Martynov and to the Department of labor. They supported us, gave the café. Despite the fact that we summed up weather, it is warm and comfortable. Everyone is happy. Indeed, a sense of caring. We are very grateful to “the Young Republic”. The guys made it almost impossible. At the present time it is very difficult to find equipment, bring it. I am also grateful to our state and to the members of our Society who always support each other always help each other. They do not lose heart, knowing that now is a difficult time.”
The activists of the Society of the disabled were awarded by diplomas and homemade medals. And we may not have the financial capacity to make these medals; we managed to at least modestly to thank people for what they are not isolated in their grief, and otherwise help their sufferers’ fellows.
