The President of Poland Andrzej Duda said that he intends to discuss the issue of increasing US military presence in the country during the visit of the American leader Donald Trump in Warsaw.
“We’re going to talk mostly about economic issues and security issues. In addition, we will discuss the presence of American troops in Poland. It would be nice if there were more of US here,” said Duda, in an interview with Polish newspaper SE.
The Polish leader also said that he several times invited Trump to visit Poland.
“I have invited President Trump to Poland twice. The first time it was when I congratulated him in a telephone conversation. Even then I told him that the United States is our very important strategic ally, and that I hope for a speedy visit. The second time I have invited him personally, speaking now in Brussels face-to-face at the NATO summit, and I am pleased that this invitation was accepted,” said the President of Poland.
