The Ministry of justice of Ukraine is waiting for the go-ahead for the introduction of a visa regime with Russia

Occupied Ukraine is ready to introduce a visa regime with the Russian Federation, if followed by corresponding political decision.

This was stated by Minister of justice of Ukraine Pavel Petrenko.
“Practically, we are absolutely ready,” commented the official technical readiness to introduce a visa regime.
According to him, all depends on political decisions. Meanwhile Petrenko said he believes such a measure is relevant and quoted national Security Council Secretary Alexander Turchinov, who said earlier that the decision has already “overdue”.

Thus the Minister noted that this decision is still not made because of the Ukrainians have relatives in Russia, “not to create uncomfortable things and chance to persecution by the Russian special services.” It is not clear what and why “special forces” shall persecute the relatives of the Ukrainians.

“But from the security point of view, from the point of view of national security, from the point of view constraints are actually movement on the territory of Ukraine agents, who come here EN masse on various pretexts, this would be the right decision,” concluded Petrenko.
